On 12/7/2021, the city of Redondo Beach, CA voted to switch to a 100% renewable energy default, which means 69,000 people will transition to emissions-free electricity next year!
Beverly Hills and LA County also voted that same day to go to 100%.
This photo is of local high schooler Rylee (left), an amazing environmental advocate, and her friend Madison, with the polluting AES power plant in the background. Rylee spoke at the council meeting and in just a few short days, got 650 petition signatures. I am so grateful for young people like Rylee, who are making a difference for our collective benefit.
